The Skin Cancer Check (Part 2)

Here are the ABCDs and now E of skin cancer:

A-symmetry. Both halves of a healthy mole usually look the same.

B-orders that look irregular. The edges of most melanomas aren't smooth-they often have scalloping.

C-olor Variation. Melanomas can have patchwork color or take on hues like black, gray, red, white or even blue.

D-iameter. Got a mole that's wider than a pencil eraser? Schedule an appointment and get it checked out.

E-volving, expanding or enlarging. If anything starts changing quickly, have it checked.
