"Yeng'Yeng"'s Maintenance Check-Up

I am talking about my car which we called by the name Yeng-Yeng. :). If we humans need a physical check up, same thing is with the car. So, we had taken her at Toyota dealer 20 minutes away from home and had her oil change and update the mileage yesterday. At the same time, we did update the emergency key as well sent to me by mail. Since hubby is using the car most o the time, I just let him take the key inside his wallet because there are times he forgets his keys inside the car, locking it inside. Toyota service is fast, so it went out smoothly and fine.

Postal Mails That Lag Behind...

This is just the volume of mails that we receive after 5 days of being away. Not too bad, just only a small post office box mostly filled up with few bills and more junk mails and catalogs. I know this is too late to post but sharing you the idea is best :). A three-week out of town travel would be a BIG bucket coming from the post office. It would take me half a day to sort them then, LOL! But a volume such as this is quite manageable.

Typhoon "Frank" Hits My Hometown!

Since last week, I saw in the news that a typhoon has been lashing Philippines and had some floods in Iloilo City. Since my hometown is 45 minutes away from the city, I didn't bother that much about it. Then, I received a text from my mother that they have been hit by the typhoon badly, and that one of our rooftops came off. I called to talk to my mom that day, and thank God...phone lines are doing good! She told me about the tragedy that many people died, washed away by floods along the river banks. There are many typhhons that had passed in this hometown, but no casualties had been so far. It was only now that they had this worst! The hospital was flooded, a li'l bit deep that they had to move out patients to another hospital. Then, I checked it in youtube, and I was able to watch some videos on what was happening there. It was so horrible. The whole town of Iloilo has been hit! I kept on praying that my family is safe. Thank God, when I finally talked to my mom, they said they are okay except for the leaking rooftop. I will have to call them again later tonight to get some updates.

My Doctor's Appointment

Finally, I was able to get done with my medical check-up yesterday. This was a long wait on the line I should say because it took me 2 months to wait before I can get an appointment. I am a new patient here, so perhaps, that's what the SOP is.
Anyway, I had a complete check-up including a PAP smear and EKG. Basic routine physical check up was done including breast exam and blood works. The results will be next week, the earliest, and the other ones will be after couple of weeks according to my doctor. I am jerk when it comes to medical things...lol! Dunno why, but I keep praying that I would get a clean bill of health.

I got this necklace while visiting Museum of Glass in Seattle. I consider it with a sentimental value besides the fact that the 2 pendants are purely made of glass. Got those for 50 bucks, but I guess it's really worth it! I wore it last Sunday in church and many liked it. Coffe Maker Broke!...:(

Hubby's Old coffee maker

After arriving home from our Seattle trip, we found out hubby's favorite coffee maker broke and no longer works. The next morning, hubby almost felt crazy not having his freshly brewed coffee. This coffee maker has been with him for so many, many years. Good thing there was still that instant coffee we bought from the Philippines last year which he was able to use.

Then, while I was checking the kitchen cabinets, I saw a brand new black and decker coffee maker (small one) that can just make a cup...ideal for office use. So, I gave it to him to at least have something for his brewed coffee. He tried it but few first tries and it was a mess! lol! I asked him how is the coffee. He said it was too strong. I guess he overdid pouring too much in there, thinking it was still his bigger coffee maker. But it wasn't bad wth the next few tries. But we still need to have another big coffee maker...he really needs it very badly! :).

Bad, Bad Cold

Geesh...I got a bad cold from Seattle. I have been sneezing and had sinus congestion while on the way back home from Seattle. My worst ever travelling like this. I hated it! :(. The fact that it was 5 hours by plane and having a bad cold is not so easy. Very annoying as well. Good thing I got some pills to relieve it. But I was flat on bed for 2 days. Gosh! I need to recover fast. We still have one more travel to go this week. It's good we'll be driving down the place which will be a short drive.

I have been always reminding my husband to get an upgrade for our main computer downstairs. It also needs a good lcd monitor. I am convincing him to get the LCD flat screen. Our I-751 Petition Package

While having some fun in Disney, I still was able to shop (a li'l bit)...lol! I was not even thinking of getting a purse in there but look what I got. Of course with hubby's convincing prowess :))...he got me able to buy a perfume! I am not a perfume lover, but I use them. In fact I collect perfumes that I like. Scents should be cool and mild, stuffs like that. And the surprise is, when I bought the perfume, it comes with a givenchy purse!!!! I love it. Perfect for my travel. I like the perfume as well. Hubby chose this one and even got the sales lady promoting it for him. While they were busy talking about it, I was busy looking somewhere else looking for a purse hehehe!!! It was a perfect timing buying this thing and comes with an "angel" attached to it ;). You know what I mean.

I am loving prime outlets center as well :). I bought another purse (Dooney & Bourke) with matching wallet. I wasn't interested buying the wallet, but hubby convinced me to get it! Again, hubby's convincing prowess prevailed! LOL!

PC Memory Upgrades

One of our computers at home needs ram (random access memory) upgrade. This computer is already old and sometimes it acts weird. Glad To Be Back Home! :)

We just got back from our Orlando trip last Saturday. I got migraines when we went there because of lack of sleep. Same thing when we came back home. It was perhaps because of the2 days non stop walking roaming around Disney! lol! My calves were so painful and my body was just too heavy to carry :)). Good thing hubby upgraded our seats to business class on the plane. Much more room to relax and lie down with a first class service ;). Geesh, I was spoiled for at least 2 hours on the plane hahaha.
