Tough Weekend!

Just got so stressed yesterday wherein I was supposed to be enjoying! :(. It so happened that our visit to DC didn't work well, and plans didn't work out as we expected to be. We tried to go there by car thinking we can have parking somewhere, but we were surprised to see that all parking lots were closed and the area was so crowded. We had to go around every block and some roads were closed! It was very warm as well and got as high as in the 90's...thank God for AC's, whew!
Anyway, we couldn't seem to be going somewhere for parking, and so we just thought of going home :(.

My Mom's Medical Condition

My mom is still in the hospital. She was supposed to get out from the hospital until her ortho doctor told her she needs to undergo surgery for her hip bone due to painful walking. A Good Weekender

After a business transaction at the Phil. Embassy, I got the chance to go around DC and tried visiting Washington National Cathedral. It was nice taking photos on the gothic architecture and colorful stained glass windows surrounding the church. After our tour there, we proceeded to Alexandria, Virginia and visited Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens. Going there was a challenge as the traffic was heavy. We didn't stay that much longer although there are yet so many things to see, but they are about to close. So, we are thinking of going back to see more of it. What a nice weekender! :).

Well, today, I and hubby went to watch the movie "Robinhood" at Westminster. Not Feeling Good!

Last Monday, I went back to the doctor for a check up. Finally, he was able to remove the wick inside. I was nervous again and I turned out so pale as a paper! I felt I was about to pass out, but thank God that the hubby was there with me. After cleaning the wound, hubby took me to Denny's for an early dinner. The food surely helped me regain my strength :).

Ouch!

So, today, we made a same day appointment with the doctor for a check up regarding my skin abscess. I was hoping I can get a prescribed antibiotics for this so it would shrink. The area is so red and as big as the size of a quarter coin!
Inside the doctor's clinic, I got so tensed when the doctor said he had to pop the thing out so it would drain. Gosh,.....OUCH! The popping out was not painful...the local anesthesia helped! But the wick he inserted to help drain out all the abscess inside was painful. Anyway, that was quick! Whew! I still have to go back on Monday to remove the wick. {sigh}

I Got Skin Abscess!

Waaahhh...I think I got a skin abscess aka "boil" just above my stomach area. Ouch...it is so tender and is reddish. I put ointment that helps it shrink and ease the pain. I got some that popped out under my armpit before...gosh! I have been having this at times way back since I was still in the Philippines, but a mentholated ointment usually helped. I hope this one I currently have will shrink soon. It's so annoying! Otherwise, I might just want to get antibiotics but first, got to see a doctor. Agh!
