Hanger Hang-Overs!

I got crazy over these hangers that are on my husband's closet. I saw it when I was getting out his clothes for laundry. It seems he always get tons of hangers hanging almost more than half of his closet's hanging bar. I got a bunch of the few months ago and placed them in a big husky bag for donations. It was taking me like forever to remove them out again of the closet.

Now, there are some more inside the husky bag for donations that includes old clothings as well. It's always a good thing to remove the unusable ones for donations. Mind you, it's taxable and it's a good help in making our tax refund increase :))

Christmas Aftermath

The day after christmas, it wasn't a good time for rest, but at least I am more at ease with nothing to think about big preparations!...but I am back to my chores as expected. It's my routine, and I don't have to complain.

Tough Laundry!...and although I have the big washer and the dryer as my helpers, it took me 2 days to do all of it completely, from the washing, folding and pressing. Thank God, I don't have to iron my hubby's dress shirts. It's my ever reliable Tobi who does the pressing. (By the way he is my steamer. :)

Kalat ano?...I separate them by colors, and I use the whole laundry space doing it. Doesn't matter, it's my territory anyway Lol!

Chocolate Brownies with Syrup!

My first baked chocolate brownies ever! I never did any baking before as I am not really fond of doing it. But since hubby is fond of eating cookies, brownies, ...and even cakes, I have thought I should start learning how to do it. I started with this simple stuff, and it turned out to be good, according to hubby's taste! :) Whew! thank God, he liked it. My first experiment of baking, and it's not bad at all. Photobucket

I bought this gift for hubby. He liked it for his back. He has these back pains from time to time, and the massaging cushion is really good and a big help for him.

Our tree is up!

It is fully rewarding just looking at what you did. I was able to make our christmas tree up last week. And then hang some more decorative stuffs around it one at a time. It was a li'l bit tough carrying those boxes downstairs going up,but thank God, I made it :) Hubby has been busy at work since last week too because of being away for a week. It's not easy on his part, I understand, because of the updates he has to catch up.The only thing I can do to help is at least make our home up and alive with some christmas spirits, so here it goes.

We are finally done with the outdoor decorations as well. Mostly are christmas lights. Hubby finally was able to get some more extra time to help me put the lights on the bushes to complete everything, although the temperature was below freezing. Geesh!

Worrisome Moments

Gosh, since last Monday, I have been worrying when my husband suddenly complained of back pains. He said it all started when he tried lifting his carry-on bag before boarding our plane for New Orleans. Since he was teaching then at a symposium, he said he can still manage it and that was it for 3 days. Nightimes are sleepless for me as I hear him groan with pain. I had to rub an ointment on his back and is relieving it. We managed to buy some Bengay in a store close by so that was what I put on his back every night before he sleeps.

The day we were on our way to Orlando, he was really in pain but got relieved with ibuprofen. I asked him if he can still do it and if not we'll just cancel our trip and go back home. I also was thinking if it was a slipped disc...that's scary! and I told him to go to the doctor to let it be checked. He said he had this pain before and usually lasts for a week. Geesh, I still was worried.

Our first night in Orlando and he was in pain and can't hardly walk. I let him took ponstan SF, an analgesic and anti inflammatory pill, then put some bengay on his back after his hot shower on the tub. He had a good sleep and wasn't groaning...I was kinda relieved too and had a good sleep.

Our first day, early morning and he was better!!...thank God! He came back to being perky as ever :) He said there is some pain but mild, so he can walk going to the pak today :) He saw a pair of croc sandals, and he said they are good for his feet. It's kinda soft so it makes him protect his back too...so we bought it. Here's his pair of crocs and he's wearing it:)

So far, so good today...no complaints of backpains. It's just that he has to get a good sitting longer. Whew! Tough huh?

Teleserye On Demand

I am a regular subscriber of this service by abs-cbn. I used to be missing those drama soap series that I love watching in Tagalog. I would end up sulking and kept wondering what happened to this and that, and who are the new characters coming out in the story... Not until I saw the ad on TV and checked the site.
I am closely following the few days of "Pangarap na Bituin's" final ending. I love the story. It's all about the story of a family's reunification. I am only paying $7.95 a month. Not bad afterall. I can watch all of the other dama series as well. The site is HERE. You might want to subscribe, and you can watch it on your PC, anytime, anywhere online. It's ideal for you if you don't have a Filipino channel at home, di ba?

Finally, my new PC Desk!

Finally, it's just so rewarding to see my new computer desk up and ready for use. I had labored 4 hours to assemble it, and now it's standing :) Oh, by the way, my husband did the foot part, so it's a 50-50 work done. Lol!The moving was the hard part as my hubby and I decided to disassemble the foot part again just to fit itself on the door. It was assembled on the other room, but was adjacent to my office room. I am still reorganizing my stuffs on it, so it's still bare. By the time we come back from Florida, hopefully, a day or so of work, then I will be done.

Well, as usual, I am a housewife super busy as ever. I am again busy packing two luggages for our trip going to New Orleans and Florida. Plus, I am starting to do my christmas shopping online for gift givings. Christmas is coming and our tree is not even up yet! I am lagging behind, but no matter what, the spirit of christmas will surely begin....

Tough Day!

I had a tough day today. I woke up having a bad headache, but I had to accompany my husband for his endoscopy appointment. I was so dizzy, and nauseated. It was a bit a relief on the other side of it because if ever I would feel worst, I can just go to the emergency room...gessh! It's really very uncomfortable for me at that moment. I was praying so hard.

The nurse called me to follow my hubby to the pre-operating room, and I prayed with him again. I had to go back to the waiting room to wait for the procedure to be done and another 1 hour for my hubby's recovery. I was just like groggy and sleepy on the couch.

Anyway, the doctor spoke to me and said hubby is doing well and recovering. I still have to talk to the doctor next week for his follow up appointment. Thank God! We were able to go back home the same day.
