Yes! I'm loving the weather today. It feels like summer and we're in the 80's. I checked the weather for the week and it said it will be in the mid-80's until this weekend. It looks like there will be thunderstorms on Sunday, but the temperature will still be warmer the way I like it :). It's good to wear some summer outfits once again.
Next week temperature will go back to the 70's which won't be bad coz it won't be too cold. A good cooler breeze is good at times ;).

General Cleaning!

Although I am struggling from my allergy still, I just suddenly thought of cleaning my home office. Gosh, I was thinking, it might be the dust and dirt that has been in the room that made me sneeze so much. I haven't cleaned my office for almost a year!....LOL! I couldn't imagine! I have to learn the hard way before I could finally decide to clean the room.
So, after doing it, I felt relieved and fulfilled because I didn't only clean the floor, but totally changed the set up as well, plus putting on a fresh curtain as well.

Annoying Allergy? Or Cold?

It has been 4 days since I got this runny nose and sneezing non-stop. I am not having fever, but I felt like my body is hot like burning. Thank God, I don't have fever when I checked my body temperature. I tried taking Nyquil before I sleep at night, and it knocks me down, only to have another endless runny nose and sneezing again when I wake up in the morning...agh! disgusting! Anyway, I thought it might be an allergy, so I took Claritin (anti histamine) and it seems to be working good. I hope I can be back to normal soon. My New Gadget!

Today, some unexpected thing happened...I and hubby went to the Apple Store to reserve an iPad since they were out of stock. It was a good thing we called ahead to inquire.
After the reservation at the store, the guy told us it might take a little more than a week wait for the item to arrive, so it was okay since we don't really need it urgently.
After we came home, I took a nap, then when I woke up, I checked my email. Well, so off we went...and oh, la la!!! I got it!

Philippine Passport

I got my Philippine passport today from the mail. Yay! It took a little more than 6 weeks before I was able to receive it. So, now, I am all set for my dual citizenship application. I Smell Like Grass!

Today, I had just finished helping hubby rake the grass from mowing. The grass was so thick so that the lawn mower goes dead every time it cuts those thick ones, lol! Well, hubby hates cutting the grass, (me too!) and he would be procrastinating until the grass would be as tall as our deck, hahaha!
But finally, today, he didn't have any choice, so he went :). It was actually very cool outside, but he was still sweating like crazy! But the task has been done faster because of me, running to the rescue [wink}...

Got My US passport!

Oh la la!!! The other day, I received my US passport from the mail. Thank God! Now, I can start planning for the trip to the Philippines. I and hubby both had planned earlier that I will go ahead, so that means I need to travel alone without the hubby going home. I planned to stay longer (at least 2 months) in the Philippines since I got so many things to do regarding our house that we bought there. I Need a Box Cutter!

Seriously, I really need a good quality box cutter that is safe. I got so many huge boxes at home that need to be cut so I can dispose them away. Received Back My Naturalization Certificate!

Today, I got back the original copy of my naturalization certificate from the mail, coming from the Dept. of State. I am expecting my US passport to be next on the mail soon.

How To Ditch Your Lawn

Stop watering, and short-rooted grass probably won't survive the summer. Try using a sharp flat-edge shovel to dig the turf one piece at a time by digging deep enough to sever grass roots. Move the turf tot he compost pile.
Mulch which is 4-6 inches layer can be put on top of fine, short-rooted grass and the turf will compost beneath it, keeping the mulch moist until the grass is dead. (Do this at least 4-6 weeks). You can then plant directly on the mulch.
Mow the grass short while in the heat of summer, water well, then cover it with a sheet of 1-4 mil-thick clear plastic. Spread the plastic beyond and weigh down the edges with bricks or rocks. Turn sprinkles off. Wait over the next 5-6 weeks as grass blades turn yellow, then brown.
If you have a fleshy-rooted grass, you'll perhaps have to spray it with glyphospate to get rid of it.

Evey afternoon, I usually get to watch my Filipino news on TV, and now, I am feeling homesick! :(. 4. Plant them close by filling the pot with loose, fast draining soil mix to within 5 inches of the rim, then place bulbs on top of the soil with pointy side up. Set them almost shoulder to shoulder and cover them with 4 inches of potting soil.
5. Shade the pot after planting and water well. After green shoots appear in late winter or early spring, resume watering and get the pot to a sunny spot.

Wardrobe Update!

It's the dreaded change of cloth outfits for the change of the season. If I do this straight, it would probably take me 2-3 days for all the shifting of our clothes from winter to summer. Spring is kinda mildly cool, so I had all our summer clothes out, then folding and keeping those thick winter wears inside the bins and some inside the hanging cabinets in the other rooms. It would always be a good idea to have a walk-in closet where all outfits can fit. But our house doesn't have one, so we use the cabinets on the other 3 rooms.
I am still on my day 1 and hopefully, I can completely keep all those winter clothes away from my sight...fast! LOL.

Not Feeling So Good...

Yesterday, I got this one sided dull headache. It wasn't painful, since I can tolerate it, but it is so uncomfortable and annoying and making me nauseous. As usual, I don't really feel like moving and doing something.

Those pesky rust-colored minute blood suckers are uncontrollably on the rise! And yes, that's a fact, particularly if you travel a lot (like me) and stay mostly in hotels during your entire trip.

Movie Watch

I was highly curious about the movie "Clash of The Titans" when I saw it online being played in 3D theaters. Since hubby was half day off from work yesterday, I thought of convincing him to watch the movie in Columbia. It was past 12 noon, so we thought of going to eat our late lunch before going to see the movie.
Well, the movie wasn't what I was expected. The 3D theater there doesn't seem to be like one. I felt I was watching an ordinary movie theater screen. I had watched the avatar in 3D and it was so much nice. But in fairness, the movie itself wasn't that bad.
Anyway, what a nice treat! :)...a movie date and a lunch with some shopping with the hubby is priceless! ;).

Yes!...since I am now a US citizen, the first vital step to do is get a US passport. Since I travel to the Philippines at least once a year, obviously, I need to have one ;).
I have my appointment to apply for one at the post office close by the house tomorrow. It was a good thing I am just 3 minutes drive away. I guess I'm pretty much ready for the things needed. Hopefully, I can be able to get it so soon.
