A Challenging Trip...

I had been having sinus headaches all the way for our trip to Chicago. It was very uncomfortable because I wasn't able to catch a good night sleep the night before the trip, making me feel like groggy and dizzy...just like I am floating! Thank God, Midway airport is just 10 miles away from our hotel. I had to eat a late lunch and early dinner at 3pm, took some pills and rested.
Meanwhile, hubby seems to be having mixed emotions about his moving on to a new work and leaving his group from the Office of Training. Happy on the other end and sad on the other. I do understand him, but we are both praying that everything will work out fine. God is always good.

Travel Update

Once again, I went back to my busy schedules when an upcoming travel is coming. We'll set to go back to Chicago this Monday, and so far I almost did more than half of my packing. This will be a lot more clothes to have since we will be there for 8 days instead of the usual 5 days that we normally get. The 3 days will be a big free day for cousins. Biometrics On Saturday

For the 4th time, I will have my biometrics schedule be taken. The 4th time will be a retake on Saturday :(. It's really disappointing when you get this delays that are not your fault. Perhaps, the most important thing the USCIS could do to avoid retaking is to get a better and highly modernized equipment for fingerprinting. Afterall, America has all the capacity to get one that can be hassle-free.
This drives me nuts!...USCIS getting the fingerprint, FBI can't read it. Then, FBI should get the fingerprints!!! Common sense, right?

Off to Radiotech Lab!

Yesterday, I was scheduled to go for my DEXA scan (bone density measurement). My appointment time was 9AM, but I was done before 9 :). Thank God that another appointment is crossed out from my calendar. Although this seems to be like I have to get closer to my doctor since my health are not really quite as excellent like when I was younger.
I was just thinking...gosh, I am not getting any younger, and I can't imagine, I am now beginning to step in at the prime age of my life. (ooops, no age asking pls. LOL!)
So much so, that I got some health trouble that I have to correct. Quite challenging, but I need to be health conscious (I am struggling to avoid food that are not good for me).
Well, there are still so much things to be done, so be it.

Hubby's Birthday

My husband's birthday was somewhat like celebrated for a week :). Thanks for the many friends who were so generous enough to treat us for dinner. At the same time, it saved me from cooking dinner too!
And here are the foods we feasted upon...our low fat diet maintenance were messed up this week. But anyway, birthdays come only once a year, so why not? hehehe..

We were treated for dinner by Barb, our friend as well, this time to a steak house! I love steak, so I got my favorite filet mignon that Saturday night. Hubby ate a LOT! We both went home burping so loud :).

Messy Me!

I spent two days refiling my paper documents just to save some space on my shelf. There are lots of useless documents that I need to dispose and since most of them have confidential informations on it I need to shred them. With papers as thick as 2 inches, to be shredded, my shredder gave way many times because it couldn't handle that much. Good thing was the shredder didn't broke, but only had to rest before another load of papers are to be shredded.

Hubby was teasing me and told me I am becoming like him because of the mess I created. I had to tell him fast...NO, I won't agree lol!

Thank God! I got my area clean with more spaces to use in my office room :).

PayPal Monitors My Purchases

Few weeks ago, I received a call from Paypal one morning but it was hubby who answered it because I was still asleep. The operator told him that there were some "purchases" done on my account and they were asking a confirmation from me if I really made those purchases. When I woke up, my husband told me about it and so I had to call the number back for confirmation. I got a little bit alarmed by that so I immediately checked my account online.
Luckily, the "purchases" they were referring to were transactions that I made for 2 consecutive days :). I ordered 4 times, twice on the first day, and another two for the second day. They find it a little bit strange about those transactions because they are of large amounts!
Well, I called the number back and it was an automated machine with instructions to confirm that the purchases were done by me as the account owner.
Probably by now, they know the account owner is really a shopaholic! :)).

My Best Summer Vacation

Summer 2008 is so far the best summmer that I had because luckily, our trip schedules were mostly in summer this year. It so happened that summer season is my favorite as well, so it added up as a bonus! :).
We usually do our personal tour itineraries on most of our trips, and luckily, we'll be back to Chicago last week of this month. Since we only have one day free to visit places, I haven't analyzed there are so much things to do in Chicago.

I am trying to convince my husband to go New York in September and do the New York City tours. I have been looking forward to visit New York but seems our trip schedule isn't there yet. Besides, I love to be there before summer ends :).
