Stomach Virus

Since yesterday, I have been having diarrhea, and later vomitting as of today. I have this stomach cramps that comes on and off. I don't know if it's a stomach flu, but so far I don't have any fever and body aches. It's just making me nauseous and vomit. The cramps are really very uncomfortable, although I stopped going to the bathroom already. I guess, all those foods and liquids are all gone. Waahh, I hate this feeling. I haven't had any sleep since last night. I am continously praying for fast healing.

BlogRoll Update

Recently, I updated my blogroll. I had to delete some links that no longer worked, but mostly, I deleted blogs that I included on my list but didn't have my link back from their blogs. If you think that you linked me back on your blog and you can't see yours on my blogroll, please let me know so I can add you back. I might have overlooked or accidentally deleted yours, so my apology for that.

It's nice getting inbound links that helps traffic, but I guess I have had enough. Sooner, this blog would be closing its doors to link exchange. I mean, I have decided not to offer ones, but I would still be delighted to accept requests :).

Thanks for your understanding. Have a great day!

Chapped Lips

One bad thing I hate about winter is it gives me chapped and dry lips. My lips are so much sensitive to cold. I can withstand a hot climate with my lips still doing good, but not in cold climate.

One time that I went to church, I had a hard time concealing my scaly lips but when I covered it with lipstick, the more the dryness popped out. I had tried putting lip gloss, medicated lip gloss with lipstick, uh...doesn't work. I had to wipe it with tissue several times and I guess I overdid it and became bleeding.

I had to press my lips with clean cloth for several minutes to stop the bleeding. So, I just ended up having no lipstick or lip gloss going to church, and my lips looked pale :(.

Ahhhh...winter go away, come again another year, LOL!

PC Memory Upgrade

We have four personal computers at home, 3 laptops and 1 desk top. The two laptops have undergone their memory upgrades recently. But the other laptop as well as the desktop downstairs need some computer memory upgrade. My husband had been trying to find one close to our neighborhood areas for stores, but the closest one is just a long drive :(. It's a good thing I came over and found this site (click the given link). I thought of suggesting this to hubby, at least it is more convenient as we don't need to drive anywhere to shop. It's indeed a one stop solution for PC's :).

What Do You Love About Your Husband Tag

Thank you Lisa for giving me this tag. I thought I just need to get and post it because it's worth sharing :).

Here it is:

  • I love my husband for being so compassionate and soft hearted.
  • I love him for being so extra sensitive to me (he knows everything about me, like every body movement I have, he knows how I feel :). )
  • I love him for being a Godly man and a Christian.
  • I love him for being so thoughtful (full of surprises), sweet, romantic, loving, understanding, soft spoken, etc...what else? He almost has everything that I am looking for :).
  • I love him for being so generous and loving my family as well, treating them as his own.
  • I love him when it comes to food! He's not picky except for 3 things: fish sauce, dried fish and corned beef!
  • Finally, I love everything about him!...(even his smell, good or bad! LOL!!!)

I had INFOPASS yesterday!

I really hate to say this, but from time to time, I still experience hassles from the immigration. I had been a US immigrant for 3 years now, and yet it makes me upset with the long waits of paper works. No matter I and my husband prepares and submit everything needed, we still are always in the long lines of waiting, while others could just have their paper works done in shorter waits. Sometimes, we feel it's really unfair. :(.

Anyway, I set up for an infopass appointment yesterday just to make sure I can travel out of the country smoothly. I have an expired GC but has the extension letter, but I wanted to be sure that I won't be facing any hassles in the airport when I come back. I talked to an immigration officer, and he said, I don't need a passport stamp for the 1-year extension of my green card. Instead, I should be carrying the letter with me together with the expired green card.

I hope and pray everything goes on fine when I travel to the Philippines in April.

I want some steak!

Since I came to America, the best food that I discovered that wasn't easy to just set it aside is the steak! I have been to Ruth Chris, Morton, and now, - Texas Roadhouse. Ruth Chris was my first choice of eating a good steak, then my husband took me to Morton's many times, and it became on top of my list :). From time to time, when I tell my husband I want steak, he knows where he would be taking me!
But wait a minute, I revised my list this year. Texas Roadhouse I can say has the best steak, matched with their juicy green beans topped with bacon :). And besides, they have the best affordable price. It's more than twice cheaper than a single steak meal in Morton's or Ruth Chris. I can even ate an 8-ounce fillet all the way down, which is good.
Ah, I would always end out and happy after a steak meal at Texas Roadhouse...the best!

My Recipe Guide

I was desperately seeking for a cooking/recipe website these past few weeks not until I found RecipeMatcher that has those features that I like when searching for that recipe that I wanted to cook. I tried searching online but there were gazillions of them having the same recipe names and yet different ingredients. Yikes! Can't even imagine how each one would taste if I will be sampling on them one at a time. LOL.
Anyway, RecipeMatcher is an ideal site for finding your crock pot recipes. It's a great help when you want to find that yummy recipe you want to cook basing on the ingredients or groceries you have in hand. Try it to see how it works for you.

My Blogroll

It's time to clean pinay wife's blogroll as well. I am done cleaning my blogging thoughts, and I still have 3 more blogs to work on.

As usual, this might be the only chance for me to do my blog visits and do checking at the same time. This blog had been a previous page ranker, and I noticed during its peak, there are links on my blogroll that are not linked to mine. I am not sure why, because they are in my blogroll. But I'm afraid I don't have time to wonder about why, but would definitely remove the link if it's not linked back to me. Just that simple so I can move on to other tasks :).

Have a great day to all bloggers, and keep blogging! :)

Are you planning for a trip to New York and wondering where to stay? If you are thinking of touring most of the city and you want to visit attraction sites, then I would recommend staying in New York City hotel where everything on the area is accesible. This hotel is convenient for travellers and tourists alike as it is close to central bus and subway lines and much more other popular places worth visiting. Check on the site and you won't regret you did :).

Upcoming Trip and Family

I am now becoming busy as a bee again since we have an upcoming trip to the Philippines this April. As much as we want to take a 3-week vacation with our family there, partly , we will be dealing family problems as well :(. It's a long story to elaborate, but it's not a personal problem that exists between us and the family. We're actually on the top lead to settle a family problem in court. Tough, tough, tough!!! But we're keeping this in our prayers to be settled smoothly for everybody's peace of mind!

My Dream Dog! :)

I had fun watching the Puppy Bowl V last weekend. Although I had a slight migraine, I managed to watch the show that made me really giggle in front of the TV seeing those puppies play. Call me silly, but this is my simple form of entertainment that makes my day great. I love seeing puppies and I still am hoping to have someday...in due time.

I got this photo from our last year's calendar which has been hanging at my office room for the whole 2008. That photo kept me inspired when I get bored or just catching some rest. My ideal dog that I will be getting someday...a chocolate lab! :)).

First Snow at Home - 2009

Couple of weeks ago, we finally had our first snow in the neighborhood for the year 2009 :). I took a short photo of our back porch of some snow flurries flooding the floor deck. I didn't open our screen door so as not to let the snow and the freezing temperature come in. Also, hubby took a video clip of me braving myself outside the freezing temperature. I hate being so cold, but it was the first 2009 snow anyway, so I didn't mind. :). You can catch me scooping up the snow HERE.
