Petition to Remove Conditional Status

Back to the usual preparation of immigration paper works again. Although not much has been required on this petition, it's another more than 500 bucks out from our wallets! Plus, it seems they are requiring me to have another biometrics again (fingerprinting). :0 I got another new folder for this petition (I-751) and I labelled them according to the requirements to be included on my package. Whew! I've got a bunch of evidences, so I might as well submit them :). Meantime, I am still gathering some more evidences worth submitting, so currently the envelope is still incomplete.

Stray Cats

There are so many stray cats in our neighborhood. In fact, a couple has been staying under our deck at the back of our house. We already saw many kittens grew up and become another group of stray cats that roam around day and night.
One time our neighbor Barbara expressed her concern about it, and telling us that they tried to call the ASPCA but they said that a complaint has to be signed and agreed by the whole neighborhood. It came out later that one of our neighbors are feeding them, which ASPCA considers it as not bothersome. Now, a couple of cats have been sleeping under our tree at the backyard, so I took photos of them. The male one always come up on our deck and passes by almost everyday. Sometimes, he hangs out on our deck and takes his nap there. They are not destructive, so I just let them nap there, and in fact they are chubby :)).

Everytime I go home in the Philippines we always choose to stay at Swagman in Malate (across US embassy). It was there where I met "Stinky" and I would always see her outside the entrance door of the hotel. They say she's the pet of the hotel owner. She's friendly to everybody else and she loves to play with my husband. LOL! She would always wags her tail when I call her name...she's a yellow lab and chubby too :). The last time we went back to the hotel, she wasn't already there. I and hubby miss her.

"Welcome Home"

As I was browsing through my older photos in my files, I saw this photo which I took a day after I arrived home. It was a welcome home sign prepared by my husband for my arrival. Of course, everytime I view this photo, it seems there's always that sentimental value and I would always tell him how thankful I am for doing that. Until now, I am thanking him endlessly, together with his family for accepting me as part of them, as they showered me with love, food, and gifts! LOL. The photo was done at home but I celebrated my arrival at our mom-mom's house. How time flies so fast!

I think I'm gonna love smart car, small and petite which is what I am really aiming to get after I get my driving license. Love is Exciting

"Love makes the world go round."...sounds familiar right? Well, let's add more to that...love is exciting too :). For a successful relationship, a couple's love for each other should be nurtured. It should be a mutual thing to do for both of them. I felt so lucky I am in a relationship which is continously being nurtured. I can say our love for each other with my husband is blooming everyday, and is well taken cared of. Why? We both know the reason why and we are always aware of it. We both express romantic moments with each other, and we are both liking it. Love is not something to be kept and let it just stay there. It's like a plant which has to be watered and cultivated in order to grow. When was the last time you said I love you to your husband or wife? It's not a valid reason to say you are both busy to say that 3 golden words which are vital to strengthening your love for each other. TFC Premium Edition

I recently cancelled my subscription for their "teleserye on demand" and tried shifting on the premium edition. Sad thing is everytime I am sent to check out, it always shows the automatic subscription which I didn't choose to. I unchecked the box for automatic subscription, and by the time am about to press that final button...it says automatic subscription on my cart...I tried asking the help support, and gave me a different answer. Gosh! kahit ba naman dito eh poor service pa rin ang binibigay??...what the heck!!

Ulcers - Prevention and Relief

Doctors used to think that spicy foods and stress led to ulcers. While these factors may increase pain, experts now believe that most ulcers are due to:

• Bacteria; helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) weakens the stomach's protective mucosal coating, allowing acid to get through to the sensitive lining beneath.
• Common pain relievers: Frequent or long term use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen can disrupt the stomach's ability to keep acid away from delicate tissue.

Many ulcers form and heal without ever becoming deep or large enough to cause pain. When they do make themselves known, the most common symptom is a dull, gnawing ache in the abdomen. Some people report greater pain when their stomach is empty. In some cases, you may see blood in your stool, or experience loss of appetite, bloating, nausea or vomiting.

Risk: Age is the biggest factor for bacteria-related ulcers: 50% of people 60 or older are infected with H. pylori, although the majority do not develop ulcers. You are at greater risk for developing NSAID-related ulcers if you:

• are age 60 or older;
• experience an upset stomach or heartburn after taking NSAIDs.
• take NSAIDs regularly or for a prolonged time period.
• have a history of internal bleeding or ulcers.

Alcohol, stress, caffeine, smoking and certain other medications may cause an ulcer to worsen or heal more slowly. A family history of ulcers may also increase your risk.

Tests Needed:

• a rectal exam tests for gastrointestinal bleeding.
• a blood, stool or breath test can determine the presence of H. pylori.
• an endoscopy allows the doctor to see whether H. pylori is present or ulcers have developed. While you are lightly sedated, a flexible tube attached to a tiny camera is passed down your throat and into your stomach and small intestine.
• x-rays can reveal signs of ulcers, such as inflammation or scarring.

Treatment and management: OTC drugs such as Tums and Mylanta contains calcium carbonate, which neutralizes stomach acid for fast relief. If there is no evidence of H. pylori infection, a prescription drug called a proton pump inhibitor can reduce the stomach's acid production, allowing ulcers to heal. If H. pylori is present, doctors recommend using antibiotics to kill the bacteria along with an acid suppressor or a stomach lining shield.

More Paper Works

I didn't do much the whole day today except to photocopy our documents needed for my immigration application. I have to separate original copies from photocopies, and have to organize them according to dates...the only errand we've got to do is the notarized affidavit for 2 people, and the tax returns. Hopefully, we can be able to accomplish these before we start travelling again in May. We have to submit the petition package before the end of May, but we want it to be easily done before that date, everything prepared and in order :).

Refinancing Our Mortgage...we got a good deal! :)

I am still on the process of fully understanding the flows of how the mortgage refinancing works. My husband and I decided to refinance it by the help of a mortgage consultant who happens to be my hubby's co worker. Half-Mission Accomplished! :)

Thank God, I was able to finish working on two most important things. First, was the filing of our 2007 receipts and bills for our tax filing. Lots of stuffs there. And second, I was able to finish completing 2 sets of hubby's handout packages for today which consisted of 49 sets each kind. Whew..got backache for that! So, that was the half of it.

Now, I just have started working on organizing and getting some copies for the requirements I need to submit for my uplifting of my conditional status as a permanent resident. Joint accounts and bills, mortgage, financial accounts...geesh, lots of paperworks. Our tax filing for 2007 hasn't been started yet, but all of the data are ready for hubby to work on it.

By the way, this is part of my job as an executive vice president of CG consulting, our private business. I just remembered today, he officially designated me few months ago, LOL! He actually reminded me today! :).

Fancy Fridge? :)

Our freezer door compartment is now full of magnets. I am not fond of collecting it but my hubby does. So, everytime we travel to a certain place, there must be a gift shop for magnets. Customer Service, Please?

This afternoon, I requested my husband to drop by at the grocery store for some fruits. After a while he called me from the grocery store that he has been waiting for 25 minutes at starbucks for his coffee because nobody was there to attend to him. One guy had to go and tell him that they lack people there, so he wasn't able to order his coffee. Anyway, they gave him a small card good for a FREE coffee anytime he goes back there. Good thing was, he wasn't in a hurry getting the coffee. :).

Talking about customer service, I still can say they have a good service. Just that they lack more workers in there. I can't seem to always think what customer service in the Philippines is when it comes to this case scenario. I wonder if this will happen to me in my own country, will I be treated the same? It seems, FREE complimentaries are hard to give in the Philippines...talking about coffee shops, restaurants, fast food, when they ran into trouble on the customers.

We were in the Philippines that time, and we ordered food at a famous fast food chain. Order #1 was not available. Order #2 was available but burgers ran out...Order #3, was a mistake, hubby got irked! We ended up paying all of it...take note, no discount, no complimentaries. I have been getting so busy yesterday, that I even didn't make it to the kitchen to cook our dinner. Hubby was busy too and was only able to call me 5 minutes before taking off from work. Whoa! that reminded me, haven't cooked any dinner yet. Thank God, my hubby is so understanding, so we ended up having a take out dinner from Burger King.

I woke up very late, so I started my paperworks late too. Thank God, I was done filing the paperworks for our taxes. Then, I got to do tons of hand-out packages assembly for my hubby's class on Thursday. Am still currently done only half of it.

And at the same time, starting to assemble paperworks for my immigration documents for my removal of conditional status petition application....I need 6 hands to do all of these. Then I will be called super wife...the new super hero! LOL.

I'll get back to posting, hopefully when I am done :).

"Dan=Dee's" of My Life :)

Dan-dee Red has now a new companion in bed. For the past couple of nights, Dan-Dee Red has been with me in bed. Meet his new companion, Dan-Dee Bunny! :). Bunny officially came to his new home last saturday, in time for easter the next day! lol. A good easter gift for dan-dee red. Red doesn't get jealous, because he seemed to be quite a lot in trouble with his "dada" these days in bed, felt crushed and smashed every time his "dada" is on bed :). Now, bunny is in toruble too, lol! Loving them both. They are both cuddly and they don't irritate my nose with those hairs they got.

Mom-Mom's Easter Flowers!

I was attracted by mom-mom's easter flowers last easter, so I took shot of them. She also got tulips from Jessey and it was pretty with orange color. My Easter Lilies!

Easter Dinner

We celebrated our easter dinner at mom-mom's house. We had a turkey dinner, (usually, it's ham) but we thought just for a change. Although we always have turkey dinner for thanksgiving, at least this year we will be having turkey twice a year :).

I don't know if you find this weird, but up to now, it still happens to me. I don't exactly believe in dreams, but sometimes, perhaps it's one way of giving us warnings or signs. They say your dreams are products of a troubled or tired mind. Sometimes, a guilty mind, and if it's a peaceful mind, you probably had the most touching, nicest dreams in your life! :).
My case is, whenever I dream of eating in my dreams, it's always a BAD sign on my health. It's either that I get sick or bad headaches, etc. I should have been ignoring this, but it has been consistently happening since I was younger. I am always praying that how I wish I could overcome and fight for it so I wouldn't get sick. On the other hand, I am thinking it might be God's one way of telling me a warning on how I should be taking care of my health...perhaps, sometimes I am careless taking care of myself?
I still remember when I read a book about dream interpretations. It says that when you dream about eating, it's a sign of good health!!...geesh, it's the opposite for me.
This really wonders me. I would prefer eating while am awake rather than in my dreams :).

Our Portable Humidifier

This has been helping me every night for my breathing. Usually, every morning I wake up with bad breathing and sinus headaches. It might be related to the weather too, particularly during the cooler season. Easter Shopping

We went for an Easter shopping yesterday at wal-mart for Easter. We bought some gifts for mom Phyllis and George. We got easter lilies too. They are beautiful, and I got one for mom as well. OOo-uh..dandee's in trouble!

Yesterday, hubby went home very early and told me he was so tired and sleepy. So, I prepared dinner earlier before he went to sleep. I didn't take Dandee out of bed, so this was what happened.

That's Our Doggie!

Hi-Dee is mom's doggie...everytime we go to mom's house for dinner, she has an outfit fitted for every occasion..sosyal!! Well this photo was her thanksgiving day attire with a matching hat.
