Cancelled Trip

Our trip to San Antonio, TX which was supposed to be Jan.27-29, '09 didn't pushed through because of plane delays. We were booked via American Airlines, but I guess that day was really bad enough for us because of thick snows and ice on the runway, making flight delays on the runway at BWI airport. We were stuck in the airport for more than 12 hours! After being on the plane (we were rescheduled), we finally decided to board off the plane when the crew announced a delay and thus we can't make it to our connecting flight. This trip was a business trip, so it was useless catching the connecting flight the next day because hubby couldn't make it to his teaching class.
Anyway, after all the long calls that hubby has to explain about the ordeal, we finally had to cancel our plane tickets (they are refunding it), and drove home!

It was not worth the wait!!!...but bad things happen at times.

Time To Final Pack!

I am doing the final packing of last minute stuffs in the luggage tonight. Good to see that our luggage won't be full, and much more lighter than the usual luggage weight we do have for every trip. Not this time...it's just a short trip. From the freezing climate to the 70's would be weird to undergo through, but that's where we're going :). A temporary get away from winter :).

We're praying that our flight won't be delayed tomorrow as the weather in Maryland says it would be snowing in the morning.

Today is our first snow in 2009...at least in our neighborhood! :). I know there are some parts in MD that are already snowing ahead earlier since last month, but not in Carrol County until today :). I don't like being out in the cold, but I got the chance to go out to the back porch and sat on the swing while the flurries were all over me. Cold Winter's Making Me Sick!

I thought that I just got used to the cold climate, but super cold, below freezing...nada! :(. I guess it's because my body is just really made for the tropical climate.
I get sinus headaches, cold hands and toes no matter I wrap them, and it makes me lazy all the time. Don't wanna go out, move or even walk. Strange, but I am struggling to overcome the "laziness" effect. There's nothing I can do and got no choice. I live in the place where winter snow storm comes and where everything outdoors turn ice if weather calls it. Gosh, I even hate wrapping my self with 4 layers everytime I only go out for groceries 2 blocks away from home. The only option to take...accept the season with wide open arms and get used to it!!! wwwaaahhhh!

Packing My Decors Down

I can't just imagine...for a week I set up everything for Christmas and after 2 weeks, I gotta bring them down again. Of course, how time flies, and Christmas season is over.

I just started this week getting my ornaments down and pack them in their corresponding boxes one at a time. It's not an easy task to do since I do these alone. It takes at least a week to completely finish everything and make everything clean!

I have been hearing and seeing a lot of this since I came to America, but I didn't analyze it was such an excellent appetizer since I tasted it.

Our New Year Date

We celebrated our New Year with hubby by going to a movie theater to watch "Marley & Me." We both love dogs, and so when we saw the movie trailer on TV, our hearts were just captured by Marley's cuteness! :).

The movie was touching. We didn't analyze we poured out buckets of tears in this movie. I can say it has a "heart". If you are a dog lover, you''ll cry your heart out! I did...and hubby too! Well, not sure if others would feel the same. But the fact that I and hubby are highly sensitive, it was one of the few reasons why we were crying in that movie. When we went out from the movie theater, I had to wear my sunglasses to hide my juicy, red eyes LOL!
