Passport Renewal

Yesterday, I renewed my Philippine passport since it is expiring next month at the Philippine embassy in Washington DC. This was the main reason why we did the trip all the way from home in MD. The trip is an hour away, so it was not a problem. But since I and hubby were there we thought of just extending our stay til Saturday since it's the weekend. So, we just went to visit museums close to the place. Parking is a little bit challenging, but since it was Saturday, public parking was not full. It was a good thing, the parking area was just across the street of the museum we were visiting, so, no hassles :).
Weather wise, it was super cold. It was in the 20's, not really a good idea to do outdoor tripping. There are still lot of places we haven't been to in DC, but it should be a good idea to go back there by summer. Can't wait ;).

Half of the work is using the right styling product. If hair is fine, spritz a volumizing spray from roots to ends while damp; for curly hair, put a nickel- size drop of flexible hold gel throughout; for thick hair, mist a heat-protecting spray from mid-length to ends.

Flip your head over and blast a blow dryer all around your head, gently tousling hair with your hands until almost dry. bring your head up and clip the top section of hair at your crown.

Blow dry sides and back of hair with a round brush. For fine hair, a medium-size is good, for thick hair, a large-barrel one is better. Work in 3-inch sections, pull each one out to the side, wrap the ends under and roll the brush halfway up the hair while drying it. Repeat until dry, then turn off the dryer and hold the brush in place for a moment before unraveling.

Unclip the top layers and blow dry them with the round brush. Pull each section straight up and roll it back to the scalp. If you have bangs, aim the nozzle directly down on them so they dry flat and smooth.

To finish, gently pat a lightweight serum over the outer surface of hair with your palms. If hair is fine, mist it with hair spray.

Annoying Headache!

Didn't do much today as I have this annoying headache. Made my day real bad, but thank God it was the weekend and hubby was just beside me to look after my needs ;). It's not yet completely done, but our house in the Philippines is almost ready. The house is not completely furnished yet, so once the turn over will be done, we will complete the interior finishing...which means a lot more things to do for me eventhough I would be 9000 miles away, LOL! Excited For Our New Home!

Our home in the Philippines is almost done with its construction. God willing, it will be done by December this year just in time for us to go visit again. The house is not completely furnished so we have to buy and install some things still. I'm actually starting to focus on things such as interior decorations, and some minimal constructions inside for cabinets, closets, etc.

Valentine Dinner Weekender

Anyway, I and my husband had fun during our valentine dinner last Saturday at Longwood Gardens. It was an awesome evening, filled with food and drinks inside the conservatory of the garden. We were almost like popping out, so we decided not to stay longer for the dance that evening. The occasion was until 11pm, but we went back to our hotel as early as 9pm. Besides, both of us became so sleepy, lol!

Great and Affordable Furnitures!

We had just bought a house in the Philippines and we are expecting it to be completely finished by the end of this year. My husband said I would be in-charge with the interior decorations...great! Winter Storm

We are now at the peak of the winter season which means if you are farther up from the equator, the more snow you get, LOL! Well, we are expecting at least 12 inches of snow today as it had been snowing since yesterday morning.

Headache! :(

This is what I call post stress out of my interview couple days ago. I usually get headaches when I get so tensed and nervous. I don't know but perhaps my nerves are really jittery when there are things that make me stress or cause tension.

It is manageable though, but I had to take some ibuprofen to let me sleep and rest. As usual, I don't want to do anything else. Headaches make me half-paralyzed and I can't do anything at home except to lie down and nap or sleep.

My Citizenship Interview

A tough day today for me but thank God, I passed my citizenship test! I got "butterflies" in my stomach few minutes before the interview, and while I was at the waiting room, I felt I was out of breath so that I requested my husband who was with me at that time to check on my name to be called while I had to go outside to get some fresh air. Whew! That helped me eased a little bit.

Anyway, after 5 minutes, I was called in. The interview went well but it will be on hold because the interviewing officer told me that I need a police clearance because my fingerprints are unreadable! I wasn't expecting that to hear since they didn't inform me before my interview so I should have prepared it earlier.

There are so many hassles that I have to do again. No choice really, but almost there at the end!
