Cancer Producing Foods to Avoid (1)

Processed Meats - Eating lots of hot dogs and sausages may increase your risk of pancreatic cancer, according to a study of nearly 200,000 men and women. In fact, those who ate the most processed meats over a period of seven years had a whooping 67% increase in risk over those who ate the least.

Red Meat - A diet high in red meat has been linked to colon and other cancers. In addition, red meat is high in saturated fat, which can lead to obesity, a risk factor for all types of cancer. "As a society, we eat too much red meat," says Walter Willett, M.D. Instead, have chicken or fish, or opt for soy as a meat substitute. If you're going to eat red meat, pick a lean cut and limit your servings to just one or 2 a week at most.
