Fixing A Tear In Your Garden Hose

Here are the quick fix steps:

Start cleaning the area by sanding it with fine-grit paper to repair minor fissures.
Use a dab of water-resistant rubber cement to affix a rubber patch over the spot, such as a piece of an old hose or bicycle tire will do.

Wait to dry, then wrap area with duct tape. This fix should now keep your hose working until you can remove the damage and attach the remaining hose sections with a brass fitting.
