Showing love with a homemade Valentine's Day craft
Guest post written by Zach Adams
My kids are at the age when they think that they have to help me with everything. I'm not exactly looking forward to them growing out of it, but it can be a little overwhelming to get help with every single little thing! They were determined to help me make something for their mom for Valentine's Day, so I decided to let them.
But I had been planning to buy something for her, so I had to do research on a good craft to make. When I was online looking that up, I ran across some info on debt counseling and decided to bookmark it for later. Our family has been having some financial issues so I think we're going to talk about using that.
I did finally find a homemade Valentines craft that I though would be perfect for us, decorating a picture frame and framing a picture of the kids in it. It wasn't too hard, but we did kind of make a mess with the glue. She loved it when we gave it to her this weekend and already put it on her desk at work.

How To Organize Your Closet
Choose hangers that are skinny, flocked hangers instead of using wood hangers which occupy a lot of space. Pants should be hanged by the cuffs with hangers that have padded clips. Don't keep anything in dry-cleaning bags, which can trap moisture. If you want to protect clothes that you don't wear very often, such as evening dress, store it in a cloth garment bag.
Instead of using shoe organizers that hang off your closet rod, line them up in a separate space. You don't want your shoes come close to your clothes. You should be able to see each pair easily so ditch the boxes and bags. Use tall plastic boot trees to keep boots upright.
Sweaters can skip the hangers as well as clothes with beaded items (the weight of the beads can strain the fabric). Jeans can skip hangers too, if there are no more space. You can fold them once at the knees.
Hang purses on hooks so they can be visible and not crushed. Clutches can be stacked side by side on a shelf too.

Your Welding Protectors
Never underestimate the danger zones of a welding shop. Better yet protect your people who work in there and be sure you have protectors for them. If you need one, don't wait any longer. Check the link given and from there, it will help you decide which one would be the best helmet that can protect you best.

Don't Ignore That Back Pain!
In many cases, this can lead to a problem in the spine that may need surgery. And speaking of spine surgery, it's just so scary to think going through it. And to think that most often, this procedure is still done in a traditional way, recovery is much slower.
Are you one of those that is thinking of undergoing a back surgery laser treatment? This is the most recent technology being done nowadays that involves minimally invasive spine surgery techniques. Much lesser stress on the part of the patient, and much more efficient method on the part of the surgeon.

How Long Before Your Candies Expire?
For Chocolates:
Dark and milk chocolates can last for 1-2 years. Wrap them in foil and store in a dry, odor-free place.
For Jellied Candies:
If kept away from heat and light, they will last for 6-9 months if left unwrapped in a candy dish. If wrapped, they are good to last for a year.
For Hard Candies:
They last after a year, unless its an Everlasting Gobstopper :).
For Candy Corn:
It will last up to 9 months in an unopened package, but stray corns only keep for 3-6 months. Store them in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
For Gums:
Chewable for 6-9 months. Keep packs in a cool, dry location to prevent the pieces from drying out.
For Caramel:
Keep it covered and away from heat and it will last for 6-9 months. Or freeze it and save for next year.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!
Anyway, I was glad we were able to do our itineraries today, visiting 3 stores to buy more stuff for the "balikbayan box" so we could fill the box and send it out tomorrow (hopefully).
We then had an early dinner at Glory Days Grill, just 5 minute-drive from home and their food was good! It was our first time going there. The restaurant was newly-opened late last year, and it was a good news for the neighborhood. We're so glad we loved the food. It would be a nice place to visit regularly ;).
We went back home after our dinner and still snowing, but it was still a good thing that the snow didn't settle on the ground. It was probably because it snowed at a 40F temperature, which means no snow to dig and scrape! Ahhh!!! How I wish winter would be like this until it ends!
