We are obviously living in the world of steels. Of course, it's because steels are now the major components of great buildings and bridges. Without them, we can imagine ourselves living back to the ancient world of the barbarians! lol! Each piece of steel that is attached to one tall building carries a vital function! Forget about them, and buildings will be collapsing everywhere. 

For instance, a steel clamp in your classroom or in your office carries a vital function. Laboratories, chemistry rooms, and other buildings you can ever imagine almost need this piece of steel. 

It's no doubt, we should appreciate their importance when it comes to the industrial world. No other construction materials would work without them.
