The Proper Winter Makeup
The sharp cold weather of winter is unkind to anyone, including the skin. It changes your natural skin tones which can even lead to disaster! But there are some ways to tweak your makeup and make the difference.
Build a base and match your foundation to your neck and decolletage. These areas can be a touch darker than your face, but still looks natural. Use a concealer to cover blemishes and dark circles which are more noticeable in winter when skin is pale and dry.
Pick a lighter color in the winter. Choose a powder bronzer that's no more than one shade darker than your skin tone. Blend it with the apple of your cheeks in a circular motion using a big round brush, then top it off with blush.
Avoid frosted shadow which can wash you out. make your eye makeup more dramatic when you are wearing dark colors and heavy fabrics. Pick lipstick over stains, which can be drying and patchy-looking.
Exfoliate lips gently at least once a week.
If the weather is really biting cold and windy, and you will be outdoor for a while, switch to a waterproof mascara. If your makeup tends to rub off with your scarf, or hat, put a little pressed powder before you head out.
