Treatment for Heavy Menstrual Flow

Menorrhagia is characterized by excessive heavy menstrual flow usually associated with symptoms that comes during a woman's menstrual cycle. Some factors that contribute to heavy bleeding include hormonal imbalances of estrogen and progesterone, uterine fibroids (polyps), infections and others which includes cancer and even medications.
Proper doctor's diagnosis is important. Treatments vary according to the cause of the condition. Possible treatments are uterine artery embolization, hysterectomy or endometrial oblation.
