30-Minute Pasta Primavera

Hey pasta lovers! Try this cooking recipe for your pasta.
Primavera means spring in Italian and Spanish, so ring in the new season with this healthy and delicious dish.

Ingredients:
1 cup broccoli florets
1 cup sliced carrots
1 cup sliced zucchini
1 cup macaroni or rotini pasta
1 tbsp. margarine
1 tbsp. flour
1 cup skim milk
1/4 tsp. dried basil
1/8 tsp.black pepper
2 tbsp. parmesan cheese

Directions:
1. Steam vegetables until crisp-tender and cook macaroni according to package directions.
2. In a small saucepan, melt margarine and blend in flour.
3. Gradually stir in milk and seasonings. (Do not add cheese at this time.)
4. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens.
5. Remove from heat and blend in cheese.
6. Pour over hot vegetables.
7. Add macaroni and mix together.

This yields 2 servings.
