Lushing Up Your Lashes

You can have attractive eye lashes without going to the beauty specialist to spend money. You can DIY! (do-it-yourself).

The techniques:
  • Find the right wand. One with big thick bristles works for natural full lashes, but it can make thin lashes clumpy. A skinny kind is better.
  • Brush the tip of mascara-ed lashes with a clean wand to get a dense but separated look. Don't swipe and run.
  • Be nice to your lashes when you take off your mascara. Never rub them to avoid damage to your lashes. Dip a cotton bud in oil-based remover and roll it over lashes, - much gentler.

Motorhome Insurance

Warranty is good, but when it comes to motorhome repair, I think I would rather rely on a mechanical breakdown insurance if I own one ;).
Good Sam Extended Service Plan seems to be a very reliable insurance ideal for those who own motor homes which continously provides mechanical breakdown coverage, as well as it provides unique benefits for your vehicle while traveling. This is one good part of the benefits of the insurance such as hotel reimbursements, dining, rental cars, service calls, etc...
And the best of all, it offers a money-back guarantee!

Ways To Lower Breast Cancer Risk

Studies show that the more alcohol intake you have, the higher your risk for breast cancer. Drink less or if you're worried about it, think before you sip.

Exercise more regularly. Those with no family history of breast cancer that exercise at least six hours a week are 27% less likely to get breast cancer than those who don't exercise at all.

Eat healthier with a high-fiber diet, rich in fruits and veggies, with moderate amounts of red meat and poultry.

Stop smoking. Carcinogens in cigarettes can increase your risk, especially if you smoke before having your first child.

Familiarize yourself with the look and feel of your breasts, and watch out for any changes. For high-risk women, a mammogram is recommended as early as age 25 to establish a baseline for further exams. Otherwise, schedule a yearly testing starting at 40.

If you suspect something, call your doctor. Early diagnosis is key to survival.

When To get Rid Of Your STuff

Toothbrush: Change after 3-4 months. Worn, frayed bristles aren't good at removing stains and plaque.

Workout Sneakers: Get a new one after 6-12 months. A worn down cushioning may cause you an injury.

Loofah: It lasts 1-6 months. Natural loofahs trap germs, so choose mesh puffs. Just hang them to dry and disinfect regularly.

Lip Balm: Lasts for a year. By then, it's perhaps already germ-filled.

Sponge: Get a new one after 4 weeks of use. It's the germiest thing in your home. Microwave your damp scrubber for 30 seconds daily to kill bacteria.

Sunblock: Get rid of it 3 years or before. If you have one baked in your hot car, just toss it when summer's over, since heat can break down active ingredients.

Eyeglass prescription: Effective for 2 years, but it's smarter to get regular eye exams; too weak lenses can cause headaches and eye strain.

Do You Really Need a Vitamin?

If you're not in the outdoors much, or you're getting less than 20 minutes of sun daily, better yet get 1,000 IU of Vitamin D daily, whether from food, vitamin or D supplement.

If your mother has osteoporosis, your risk is as twice as high as that one without a family history. Eat foods like dairy and veggies plus take a multi vitamin with extra calcium and magnesium, particularly if you are in your 20's & 30's.

A young female needs about 18mg. of iron daily for strong muscles and immune system. If you're a vegetarian, you need multi-vitamin with iron since most common sources are meat, poultry and fish, unless you're getting a daily dose from foods like fortified cereal and beans.

If you're pregnant, you need folate, the nutrient (aka folic acid) that ensures a baby's brain and spinal cord healthy.

All You Need To Know About Toasting

In a wedding, the bride and the groom should decide ahead of time who will do it.

A toast should always be positive ending with a wish for the couple's happiness. The toast giver can start mentioning how they are connected with the couple and should keep it focus on the bride and groom and off themselves. Customization is key.

The first course is being served usually right after the first dance. Be sure to give toast givers a heads up, so they're not at the bar when it's showtime.

The toast giver can leave his seat and go to where the microphone is to make his speech, or he can simply stand at his table and start speaking.

Toast givers should keep his message short (at least no longer than 3 minutes) as many guests will start to become uneasy and get bored.

For the bride and groom, during the toast, remains seated when everyone else rises. Maintain an eye contact with the toast giver-both as a morale booster and so guests will follow your cue. When guests are taking the sip of champagne at the end, both bride and groom should wait a minute before joining in, to avoid looking as though you're drinking to yourselves.

Upgrading Your PC Memory

It was a tough experience for me when two of our PC's at home went so slow and couldn't hardly work for the internet. I got so bothered since I have lots of work to do online, so I requested a technical help from a computer specialist, only to find out that one of our PC's need to be upgraded with its system memory. Thank goodness for online stores which provide budget-friendly prices for PC memories. At least, I know where to get mine next time ;).

How To Avoid The Sneaky Things That Make Women Gain Weight

Watch out ladies! You may be gaining weight for reasons you don't even realize. Many people think eating is all about willpower, but it's not, says Brian Wansink, a food psychologist.
To begin with, you must avoid these unconscious triggers, and watch your weight improve.

What to look for in your kitchen:

Store high-calorie leftovers in opaque containers or put them behind fruit and veggies in the fridge. It has been found out that a person eats less of the food when it is tucked away in a drawer than when it is on their desks.

The more you buy, the more you'll eat. For a better choice, buy single-serving packages which help keep you from overdoing it.

Smelling food during cooking can actually make you more satisfied which lead you to eat less once your meal hits the table. But if you don't want to cook, at least put your frozen dinner in the oven instead of the microwave.

What to look out for at a restaurant:

If your bread basket comes with a butter, you'll likely to eat more than if it's served with olive oil.

Just remember; if you see food, you want to eat it. Try facing away and ask yourself; - "Am I really hungry?"

Avoid a big menu. The longer you eye the choices, the more you're likely to order and eat. Pick an entree' and put the menu down.

Using bigger utensils which are trendy nowadays can also make you eat more. People who eat with smaller spoons tend to feel more satisfied after one serving than those who use bigger silverware.
What to look out for at the grocery store:

Take note: when you're at a grocery store, less-healthy foods can be seen right at eye level. The healthiest foods are often stocked on the store's top shelves.

Beware of "end-of-aisle" displays. These "end cap" placements are paid for and often stocked with less-healthy items. They're highly visible so you'll more likely to buy these foods on impulse, whether you like what you see on the nutrition label or not.

The most nutrient-rich fresh foods and healthiest like fruits, veggies, dairy and meats are located at the inner aisles. The center aisles are mostly loaded with binge-worthy processed snacks and sweets.
